Amazon (AMZN) stock analysis for beginners
Education only. Not a buy or sell call.
Amazon is a retailer, a logistics machine, and AWS. The store can look low-margin. The cloud can look like the profit engine. If you only watch Prime Day headlines, you will miss the mix.
What to look at first
Operating cash flow after capital spending matters more here than a pretty sales line. Amazon spends to build warehouses and servers. That can be investment. It can also be a treadmill. Do not call the whole company “unprofitable” because the store is thin, or “a cloud stock” because AWS is famous. It is both.
A beginner order for AMZN
- Open AMZN in the Finorify web app as a guest or signed-in user.
- Read revenue and cash flow. Ask if Amazon is compounding or just having a good year.
- Use the scorecard as a summary, then the help sheets on any term you do not know.
- Only then open the DCF. If you need heroic growth to make the price work, write that down.
- Note the next earnings date so you are not surprised.
